Why This Site Exists
Nevada makes many public records available under NRS Chapter 239, but inmate and booking information does not live in one statewide jail database. County sheriffs and local public-safety departments handle jail custody for people awaiting court, serving short local sentences, or being held on local warrants. The Nevada Department of Corrections, usually called NDOC, runs a separate offender search for sentenced state prisoners. Federal BOP records, ICE ODLS, U.S. Marshals custody, Nevada S.A.V.E., VINELink, and court portals each cover different questions. This site organizes those channels so a visitor can move toward the system that is most likely to hold the record.
What You Will Find Here
The pages focus on Nevada statewide custody routing rather than one county office.
- Guidance for inmate records, jail rosters & mugshots, and court records after an arrest.
- A County Directory for finding the correct Nevada county or Carson City inmate-population site.
- A Facility Directory covering county jails, city detention centers, NDOC prisons and camps, federal contract custody, and ICE-listed locations documented in the research.
- Statewide context for the NDOC inmate locator, Nevada S.A.V.E., VINELink, BOP, ICE, public-record requests, and court-record searches.
What This Site Cannot Do
This is an independently operated reference site. It is not NDOC, a Nevada sheriff's office, a city jail, a court, a federal agency, or any other government body.
- It cannot release, hold, classify, or transfer anyone in custody.
- It cannot post bond, schedule visits, approve phone calls, or send money for a user.
- It cannot provide legal advice or interpret a sentence, charge, warrant, parole decision, or release calculation.
- It cannot promise that every phone number, fee, roster, address, or court link remains current.
Current custody, charges, release timing, and official records must be confirmed with the agency that controls the record, such as the local sheriff or police department, NDOC, the appropriate court clerk, BOP, ICE, or another listed custodian.
Search Partners
Some pages may include search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their own pricing, search coverage, results, and account terms. If a visitor uses a paid partner tool after following a link from this site, the site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the Nevada guides available, but it does not make the partner's result official or replace the agency record.
