Nevada custody questions depend on the legal custody layer. NDOC handles sentenced state-prison custody through its offender search at ofdsearch.doc.nv.gov. NDOC offender information requests go to omdrecords@doc.nv.gov or ATTN: Offender Management Division, Nevada Department of Corrections, P.O. Box 7011, Carson City, Nevada 89702. NDOC public-record requests route through publicrecords@doc.nv.gov and the Public Information Office.
- For someone in a county jail, start with the County Directory, then use the county's inmate records path or sheriff records channel.
- For booking photos or roster displays, use jail rosters & mugshots and confirm with the local jail because photo availability varies.
- For charges, hearings, case status, or certified dispositions after an arrest, use court records after an arrest and contact the proper court clerk.
- For a specific jail, detention center, prison, conservation camp, or federal contract facility, use the Facility Directory.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the NDOC inmate locator and NDOC records channels rather than a county roster.
- For a federal prisoner, use the BOP inmate locator; for immigration detention, use ICE ODLS. For custody notifications, use Nevada S.A.V.E. or VINELink where the agency participates.
